Hello guys, Today we are discussing the topic of sine wave inverters, the type of inverter, the form of the output signal, the Use of a pure sine wave, and the advantages and disadvantages of sine wave inverters.
The inverter is required to convert the alternating current to direct current energy. Because the battery store power, only direct current but many appliances work on alternating current. So we need to change the energy form.
What is Sine Wave Inverters?
The sine wave inverters are mainly used to convert the alternating(AC) form of current into direct current(DC). In sine wave inverters give the output purest form of the alternating current compared to the other types of square wave inverters. It is very similar to the actual alternating current, But in has to reduce the risk of damage and also increase the life span of the appliances. but it is getting costlier.
Types of the waveform:-
- Square wave inverters.
- Sine wave inverters.
Square wave inverters:-
This type of inverter output is very highly different from the actual sinusoidal waveform. it is just like a square type of waveform. this type of inverter has a high risk of damage to the internal electrical circuit and also mechanical damage with appliances can also produce noisy sound.
Sine Wave inverters:-
Increase the life span of the electrical appliance and also increase the high efficiency of the appliance with reduce the noise compared to the square wave inverter. but the cost of the sine wave inverter is costlier compared to the square wave inverter.
Stage of the pure sine wave inverters:-
- Oscillator stage.
- Amplifier stage or Booster stage.
- Output transform stage.
Oscillator stage:-
In this stage oscillating power alternating current (AC) in between the positive and negative by using the IC circuit in the inverter. The oscillation stage works on the particular desired frequency.
Amplifier stage or booster stages:
The voltage is amplified by using the inverter because the battery supply only 12V power in this voltage many devices don’t work. So we need to amplify the voltage upto 220V to 230V by using the step-up transformer
Output transform stages:
The output amplified converted alternating current(AC) into direct current (DC) is supplied through the output windings from the step-up transformer through output windings. With a particular desired specification modified power by the inverter.
The factor of not using sine wave inverters:-
- Any appliance like a clock and timer does not work properly. because variables in input power can be malfunction.
- fluorescent light does not glow properly and produce humming and noisy sound.
- By not using a sine wave inverter electrical devices are less durable and noisier.
- Reduces the efficiency of the devices.
Advantages of the sine wave inverters:-
- Highly durability.
- More efficiency.
- Improved power quality.
- Compatibility.
- Improved performance.
Disadvantages of the sine wave inverters:-
- The sine wave inverters is bulky in shape, size, and weight.
- Using sine wave inverters required high maintenance.
- More power consumption compared to the other types of inverters.
- High initial cost.
