Today we will cover list the of properties of magnetic field lines, the origin of magnetic field lines, the start of magnetic field lines, and the concept of a cyclotron.

Magnetic field lines have unique properties, such as moving from the south pole to the north pole and attracting ferromagnetic metals. There are two types of magnetic fields – man-made and natural magnets.

List the properties of magnetic field lines:-

Way to measure magnetic fields:-

  • The main current-carrying conductor attracts ferromagnetic metals.
  • Allowing us to determine the magnetic field using the SI unit of magnetic flux, the weber.
  • A magnetic compass proves useful for finding the direction of the magnetic field and is widely used in aviation
  • Navy, shipping industries, etc. We can measure magnetic fields by the flow of current.

What are Cyclotrons?

Cyclotrons use a rotating magnetic field to control the movement of radioactive materials. They rely on the reliability of the magnetic field, which is why they are commonly used in accelerator magnetic fields.

Advantages of the magnetic fields:-

  • The mostly used are the electric motor and generators.
  • The revolutionary change in automation by using electromagnetic.
  • In electricity generation flux is cut in the alternator to generate electricity.

Disadvantages:-

  • We can’t control the path of the magnetic field.
  • A high amount of energy is required for the generation of electricity.
  • It distorts the part of a magnetic field in the case of interfering with the other magnetic field.
